Dr. Pejvak Khaki, Executive Secretary of the First International Congress of Vaccine and Vaccination (ICVV), speaking on the sidelines of the 11th Iran Pharma International Exhibition, highlighted the important role of the private sector in developing the country’s vaccine ecosystem.

“One of the key objectives of the Congress Executive Team’s presence at Iran Pharma is to identify and engage with companies and organizations active in the health sector, particularly in vaccines, biotechnology, medical equipment, and supply chains. This provides an opportunity to gain a better understanding of the expertise, technological capabilities, industrial capacities, and investment potential available within the private sector,” he said.

Dr. Pejvak Khaki added: “We do not view companies’ participation in the Congress merely as attendance at a scientific event. Our goal is to establish meaningful connections between capable companies and other stakeholders across the vaccine value chain, linking private-sector capacities with the needs and opportunities within the national vaccine ecosystem.”

Referring to the opportunities planned for the First International Congress of Vaccine and Vaccination, Dr. Pejvak Khaki stated: “To ensure that these interactions lead to effective dialogue and practical collaboration, the Congress will provide dedicated platforms such as B2B meetings, exhibition booths, a Technology Market, and a Technology Exchange. These platforms will offer opportunities to showcase technologies and products, identify potential business and technology partners, conduct direct negotiations, and develop joint collaborations among participating organizations.”

Dr. Pejvak Khaki continued: “A sustainable vaccine ecosystem requires effective and continuous interaction among government, academia, industry, knowledge-based companies, investors, and the private sector. The Congress aims to take these interactions beyond dialogue and create an environment in which tangible collaborations can emerge among stakeholders.”

Dr. Pejvak Khaki concluded: “Our presence at Iran Pharma provided a valuable opportunity to engage directly with companies operating across the health industry, learn more about their capabilities, and explore potential avenues for their participation and collaboration in the Congress, as well as their contribution to the development of the national vaccine ecosystem.
